F-Secure Client Security is a piece of software designed for small business, where workstations and laptops connect to the central network as the program can be installed remotely and completely managed from a central station. We can evaluate the program by downloading the 30-day period trial version, update our existing version or purchase it from the developer’s website. F-Secure Client Security provides real-time firewall protection against virus, Trojan, worm, spyware, rootkit, adware, malware, attacks from the Internet, from the e-mail or external devices, such as removable USB sticks, etc. We can control the applications connecting to the internet, remote laptops connecting to our network; prevent hackers’ intrusion, etc. It also offers proactive protection against unknown threats, offering automatic news, updates, and protection in 60 second since the unknown threat is detected. This program does not filter Spam nor protects against Phishing. From the Main User’s Interface we can see our network status, and make a lot of settings as the program is highly customizable. We can visualize quite easily all issues and make sure everything is correct, or work on those needed our attention as performing a scan, for which 5 types are provided: 1.Scan Target, 2. Scan Hard Drives, 3. Quick Malware Scan, 4. Quick Rootkit Scan. 5. Full Computer Scan. The software detects, delete or put into quarantine the suspicious items. It runs under Windows 2000, XP and Vista operating systems. |
